We are looking for a Senior S/4HANA ABAP Developer for support and maintenance of a live SAP S/4HANA landscape. This role is focused on ABAP development in production, where the day-to-day work involves ongoing maintenance, bug investigation, and troubleshooting. The solution being supported is a complex intercompany automation offering built on SAP BTP. Since this is a support phase, there is no greenfield design work; instead, we focus on stabilizing and improving an already-live system, working closely with the existing automation and integration setup.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior S/4HANA ABAP Developer – Support/Maintenance to work on an existing, live S/4HANA environment. Your main goal is to keep the system running reliably by handling ongoing maintenance activities, investigating defects, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Key responsibilities include:

Perform ABAP development in a live SAP S/4HANA system for support and enhancements.
Investigate and resolve bugs, technical defects, and operational issues in a complex intercompany automation solution.
Support and maintain integrations and APIs, including OData APIs used by the solution.
Develop and maintain CDS Views and ABAP OO implementations, aligned with the existing architecture.
Work with RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model) to implement and adjust RESTful services as needed for the automation flow.
Collaborate with the team to understand what needs to be fixed by tracing impacts across related processes and dependent components.
Use SAP BTP development experience to support the overall automation ecosystem that spans SAP and platform services.

Requirements

We need a technically strong ABAP support developer who can operate effectively in a production support context.

Must-have technical skills:

ABAP OO (object-oriented)
RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model)
CDS Views
OData APIs
SAP BTP development experience

Functional grounding is important for this role. As a support developer, you must understand what you are fixing, so some knowledge in SD and MM (Sales & Distribution, Materials Management) is expected—especially document flows such as:

Purchase Orders
Purchase Requisitions
Stock Transfer Orders
Deliveries
