Niuro is looking for a senior-level Data Architect to lead the complete redesign of a high-stakes Fintech data environment, moving from audit to production within a rigorous 3-month delivery window. Working directly with executive leadership, you will own the technical roadmap—without intermediate layers of approval—to transform multi-hour reporting cycles into automated, minute-scale insights. Your mandate includes architecting a high-speed AWS Data Lake (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift), building scalable BI infrastructure in Power BI, and integrating AI-driven workflows for predictive capabilities. This is a 100% remote, execution-heavy role for a strategic expert with 5+ years of experience in AWS data services, Python, and SQL, who can balance long-term scalability with immediate delivery pressure in a fast-paced international environment.

Responsibilities

Audit existing database configuration and deliver actionable recommendations for high-speed modifications and automation improvements.
Design and implement a robust AWS Data Lake architecture using S3, Glue, Athena, and Redshift.
Build a scalable BI automation ecosystem that reduces report generation from hours to minutes.
Integrate AI-driven workflows and predictive capabilities into data pipelines.
Ensure all data structures align with strategic decision-making requirements and demonstrate strong business sense in technical choices.
Communicate tradeoffs clearly to non-technical executives and deliver working systems within aggressive timelines.

Requirements

Senior-level professional with 5+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
Proven mastery of AWS data services: S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift for Data Lake implementation.
Deep expertise in SQL and relational database design at architectural depth.
Hands-on experience building production Data Lakes from design through deployment.
Expert-level Python for data engineering and automation workflows.
Advanced proficiency in Power BI with focus on automated dashboarding and templated reporting systems.
Practical experience implementing AI/ML solutions within data pipelines for business process optimization.
Conversational English fluency for direct technical and strategic communication with executive leadership.
Demonstrated track record delivering complex data infrastructure projects within 3-month or shorter timelines.

Desirable

Experience leading cross-functional teams in fintech environments and managing data governance for regulatory compliance. Familiarity with data privacy standards, security best practices, and scalable cloud governance models. Patient, collaborative communicator capable of translating technical concepts into business impact for senior stakeholders.
