What you will do

Ruby Upgrade: Migrate Ruby applications ensuring compatibility, performing load testing, and automating CI/CD.
Oracle Database Optimization: Refactor schemas, queries, and stored procedures to enhance performance and scalability.
Collaboration with Functional Teams: Work with product and design teams to define requirements and technical solutions, aligned with best architectural practices.
Testing and Debugging: Develop unit and integration tests, perform manual and automated testing, and apply error-handling strategies in production.
Technical Mentorship: Guide junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices within the team.
Technical Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation on new features, optimizations, and operational procedures.
Minimize Downtime: Implement strategies to ensure updates with minimal service disruption, using monitoring tools to improve performance.

Requeriments:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ Proven experience as a Ruby Developer, with a strong portfolio of Ruby applications.
2+Extensive experience with Oracle Database, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Plus:

Experience with other programming languages and frameworks.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Certification in Oracle Database or Ruby programming.
