Job Description

Synopsys TCAD software solves fundamental, physical partial differential equations, such as diffusion and transport equations, to model the structural properties and electrical behavior of semiconductor devices. This deep physical approach gives TCAD simulation predictive accuracy for a broad range of technologies. TCAD simulations are used to reduce the costly and time-consuming test wafer runs when developing and characterizing a new semiconductor device or technology.

Synopsys Chile is looking for a Full Stack Software Developer with Frontend/UI development experiences.

You will be part of the team responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the TCAD workflow management environment. This will include both Desktop and Web Applications. Synopsys’ Sentaurus Workbench is the industry standard for setting up, editing, and executing TCAD workflows as well as analyzing simulation results. Together with product development and application engineering teams you will bring our workflow management environment to the next level.

Qualifications and requirements

BS in Computer Science or related field with 3 – 5 years of experience or MS in Computer Science or related field with 1 – 3 years of related experience
Experience with application programming languages such as Python, Java, .Net, PHP or Ruby
Experience in frontend/UI development using JavaScript, Vue/React/Angular, HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, and Bootstrap
Experience with cloud platforms and APIs/frameworks
Experience deploying web based microservices into cloud platforms such as AWS/MS Azure
Motivated, independent, and self-organized with good analysis and problem-solving skills.
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication skills in multi-site environment.
Fluent in English (both verbal and written).

Desirable skills

Experience with UI frameworks like Qt, PySide, or PyQt
Experience building and maintaining a reusable web components library
Experience with user-friendly GUI designs, usability, and UI prototyping
Experience working with databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL or SQL Server)
Experience working with version control systems
Experience working with worldwide cross-functional teams
Knowledge in semiconductor device fabrication and processing
