We are Forest, London’s most sustainable shared eBike operator. Forest’s technology team is based in Chile and is experiencing rapid growth as part of the company’s successful journey to become one of Europe’s leading micro-mobility and a global AdTech platform.
The new HRBP will lead the HR function of Forest’s Tech team, based in Chile. This role sits within the Finance and People team and will report directly to the CFO, who oversees the company’s overall HR and Finance function. This role will be the eyes and ears of the CFO outside of the London HQs, enhancing the integration between the Tech Team and overall company while maintaining Forest’s friendly and vibrant company culture.

Job functions

  • Work closely with the leadership team, especially the CEO, CTO and CFO, in devising the organisational strategy for Forest’s Tech team
  • Create a hiring strategy in line with Forest’s growth plans and tailored job descriptions for upcoming roles in the tech team
  • Run the recruitment cycle to recruit and retain top talent fit for Forest’s mission and growth strategy
  • Source and attract high-calibre candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media and networking
  • Conduct comprehensive initial interviews to assess candidates' technical skills, experience, and cultural fit
HR and Finance
  • Work with our company lawyers in terms of employment contract creation and other legal ad-hoc tasks
  • Work closely with our accountants to lead local financial operations, mostly monthly payroll, management accounts and weekly pay runs to suppliers
  • Ensure new starters are correctly onboarded, liaising with them on pensions, healthcare plans and other employee benefits
  • Manage the team’s resources, ensuring they have the correct equipment, feel integrated into the team and understand Forest’s company culture
  • Create well-being policies in conjunction with the UK-based Team and implement them for the Tech Team based in Chile
  • Assist in ad-hoc daily operations of the Tech team including office-related administration tasks and supplier sourcing and engagement

Qualifications and requirements

  • Speak fluent English and Spanish
  • Business Degree (Ingenieria Comercial, Administracion or similar)
  • 3+ years of experience working at a fast-growing Tech company, preferably in Talent or HRBP roles and with exposure to leadership teams
  • 3+ years in hiring and recruitment in the Tech Sector, growing and scaling Technology teams
  • You have solid financial understanding and don’t shy away from numbers
  • You have a general understanding of recent programming languages and technology developments and how a fast-growing tech team operates
  • You can utilise your knowledge of the tech sector and work with data teams to ensure we find candidates with the right skills and mindset
  • You are a business generalist, with a cross-functional skill set and a genuine interest in tech startups, who is happy to wear many hats within a fast-moving organisation
