This role entails working closely within the engineering teams to enhance our development and deployment pipelines, ensuring systematic execution and continuous improvement in processes.

Key Responsibilities

Kubernetes Management: Deploy, manage, and scale applications effectively, ensuring reliability and performance of Kubernetes clusters.
Cloud Functions Development: Design and manage cloud functions for diverse applications and services.
Infrastructure Resilience: Enhance production infrastructure resilience, maintaining high availability through robust failover and replication strategies.
Load Balancer Configuration: Configure load balancers to efficiently distribute traffic for optimal performance.
Replica and Cluster Management: Administer Citrus clusters and manage replicas for data redundancy.
CI/CD Pipeline Management: Oversee CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and automate deployments.
Monitoring and Alerting: Implement monitoring systems like Grafana for real-time performance insights.
Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Lead incident management and root cause analyses to maintain operational stability.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Ensure seamless integration and deployment with development, QA, and product teams.
Distributed Tracing & Performance Monitoring: Deploy solutions for tracking service requests across distributed systems.
Security & DevSecOps: Oversee security initiatives, including vulnerability scanning using GCP's Security Command Center.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

We seek a candidate with the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any engineering discipline.
A minimum of 6+ years’ experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
Proven expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of containerization technologies, especially Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and using automation tools effectively.
Proficiency in scripting languages, notably in Bash, with familiarity in Python, NodeJS, or Go.
Able to participate in on-call rotations for site reliability.
Expertise in monitoring systems like Grafana and distributed tracing mechanisms.
A collaborative mindset to ensure effective deployment and integration.
Strong capabilities in incident management and conducting thorough root cause analyses.

Desirable Skills

While not mandatory, the following skills will be considered advantageous:

Experience with additional cloud platforms beyond GCP.
Familiarity with other container orchestration tools beyond Kubernetes.
Understanding of agile methodologies and development best practices.
Knowledge in advanced security measures within cloud architectures.
Experience in mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with diverse teams to foster a learning environment.
