Job functions

As a Unity Engineer you will be a key member of our Bitverse development team dedicated to create Unity based features for our portfolio, including BitHeroes Quest and BitHeroes Runner. You will help implement new exciting ideas and maintain existing features based on the design provided by Product Managers, Art Director, Game Design and UI/UX designers.

Write clean, efficient, well functioning, scalable, and secure code to build Unity based videogames.
Prototype features or games within different Unity projects.
Write technical documentation for internal use.
Analyze and refactor existing systems to match technical direction, providing scalability and stability
Work closely with other engineers, Product Managers, Game Designers, Artists, Producers and QA in an Agile development environment.
Collaborate with other project teams, internal departments, and stakeholders both local and international.

Qualifications and requirements

Advanced Unity knowledge
3-5 years of programming experience, ideally for mobile games
Strong C# skills
Experience working on core gameplay systems, user interface, git and SourceTree
Experience with Live game operations
Unity systems knowledge such as UI animations
The ability to work independently and efficiently when required, working closely with your lead and producer.
Passionate and self-driven to always develop and deliver high quality work
Excellent team player with the ability to mentor other developers on the team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English
Design patterns and good programming practices

Desirable skills

Experience with Scrum, Kanban and Agile methods
Mobile development for Android (manifest handling, building builds with and without OBBs) and iOS (installation of certificates, use of Xcode, creation of archives)
Solid understanding of core mobile game KPIs and experience in game data analysis
Trigonometry knowledge such as vectors, projections, matrices

Bonus skills:

Avid gamer with knowledge and understanding of various games and game types
Highly effective communicator and collaborator
Unity systems UI, animations
Notions of Rendering such as shaders and render passes, among others
Unreal, C++
