The project is intended for developing and deploying a cloud-based Remote Monitoring and Management solution for edge devices. The main challenges are data collection, analysis, and preparation for further analysis. The solution also aims to automate edge device management processes based on real-time decision making. Technology stack: AWS, DynamoDB, Aurora DB, Redis, containers, Java (Quarkus).

Job functions

  • Facilitate the end-to-end product life cycle for mid to large-size projects, in design, development, testing, and deployment efforts while providing operational excellence and support
  • Advance the team's design methodology and quality programming practices
  • Guide and support the team members to adapt standard methodologies
  • Understand independently time and cost constraints, and impact on other teams to reach sound resource and architectural trade-offs
  • Anticipate and prevent problems and roadblocks before they occur, and present technical issues and their impact on leadership
  • Continuously improve software and development process with the Agile development team
  • Mentor team members and advocate for quality coding, design, and optimal processes
  • Conduct code reviews

Qualifications and requirements

  • Possessing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar
  • A holder of 6+ years of experience as Java Developer
  • Proficient with Java, AWS services and cloud-based/microservices architecture, nice to have experience with Quarkus framework
  • Well-versed in APIs (REST), Microservices and gRPC for API development
  • Expertise in using Git for version control and Gradle for build automation
    Extensive experience with both RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB)
  • Skilled in Agile development methodologies (Scrum)
  • Talented in developing applications for a responsive environment, supporting different devices
  • Capable of building reliable, secure, scalable, accessible solutions
  • Network knowledge (ICMP, SNMP, subnets, L2/L3 layers) is a plus
  • Demonstrating B2+ English leve (written and spoken) to cover daily communication with the team
