We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our research and development team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of software solutions, managing the engineering team, and ensuring that project milestones are met efficiently and effectively.

Job functions

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define project requirements and timelines.
  • Oversee development, and deployment of software applications.
  • Ensure technical standards and best practices are maintained across all projects.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software development with a proven track record in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong technical skills in software development and architecture.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks and issues proactively.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, helping to resolve complex technical challenges.

Desirable skills

  • Cloud Services Experiences with AWS is a plus
  • Knowledge of security best practices and ability to implement them in the development process.
