TheNotCompany (NotCo) uses machine learning to help create sustainable & plant-based products in a mission to reduce global greenhouse emissions. Since incorporating in 2015, we have launched several different plant-based products through our technology platform, Giuseppe, including NotMilk, NotMayo, and NotBurger. NotCo is a global company with offices & product sales in Chile, Brazil, and Argentina; our latest $235m funding round has fueled our growth in the United States, starting with the launch of NotMilk at Whole Foods in 2020.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall architecture of compute, data pipeline, and inference algorithms on our Google Cloud Platform across the entire technology stack
  • Propose and review engineering architectural changes in order to maintain platform integrity and consistency
  • Mentor junior developers, participate in code reviews, and inform new software development hiring decisions
  • Maintain proper and current documentation of the entire technical stack and inform decision-making framework for sub-engineering teams
  • This role may be either an Individual Contributor (IC) or Management Role depending on the qualifications and preference of the candidate.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in Software Development, with at least 4+ years of experience in a Technical Lead or Architect Role.
  • Familiarity with architecting on a Cloud Platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of Deep Learning and Machine Learning packages is a plus (PyTorch, Tensorflow, XGBoost, etc).
  • Deep knowledge of components of our technical stack is a plus:
. Backend: Python, Pytorch, FastAPI
. Frontend: Vue.js
. Inference: Kubernetes, Docker & Serverless Functions (GCP Cloud Functions)
. Data: Postgres & GraphQL, NoSQL
