The specific project involves enhancing an existing web application by adding multilingual support, specifically implementing complete Spanish localization to complement the current English version. This initiative aims to broaden the user base by providing a seamless user experience for Spanish-speaking users, leveraging existing resource files and state-of-the-art web technologies.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled full stack developer with a strong focus on frontend development using React and TypeScript to lead the completion of a critical internationalization project. This role requires a senior-level professional capable of autonomously managing the entire process from planning to deployment over a short, approximately two-month engagement. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and integrating Spanish language support into an existing web application currently available only in English.
  • Working independently to finalize the internationalization implementation, using pre-existing resource files from the client.
  • Ensuring the frontend codebase adheres to best practices with scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Collaborating remotely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality results on schedule.
  • Performing thorough testing and quality assurance for the multilingual functionality.

The successful candidate will be the sole developer on this project, so a proactive, responsible, and detail-oriented mindset is essential.

Required Skills and Experience

We require a senior full stack developer (Java+React) with a specialization in frontend technologies, particularly React and TypeScript, who possesses the autonomy and expertise needed to own a project end-to-end without supervision. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in:

  • Advanced React framework features, hooks, and component lifecycle management.
  • TypeScript with strict typing practices to ensure code robustness and maintainability.
  • Experience with Java development
  • Internationalization (i18n) best practices, including working with resource files and localization tools.
  • Experience in making web applications multilingual and culturally adaptable for diverse user bases.
  • Good understanding of frontend build tools and processes such as Webpack, Babel, and npm/yarn.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize frontend performance issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate remotely with clients and team members effectively.

Soft skills like self-motivation, discipline, and high accountability are critical, given the solo nature of the assignment.

Desirable Skills

While not mandatory, valuable additional skills and knowledge include:

  • Familiarity with other frontend frameworks such as Angular or Vue.js.
  • Knowledge of automated testing frameworks for frontend (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes for web applications.
  • Previous experience working in international, multicultural teams or projects.
