Our client is an online travel company that serves consumers and small businesses. It owns numerous well-known vacation rental marketplaces and connects homeowners and property managers with travelers who seek the space, value, and amenities of vacation rental homes and hotels. The sites offer a wide selection of properties around the world with detailed descriptions, photos, lists of amenities, and nearby attractions.
Our team consists of a Tech Lead located in Austin and three Engineers in Colombia and Mexico. On the client side, we have an Engineering Manager, Product Owner, and UI/UX designer. Together, we work with Java, React, Node.js, Kotlin, iOS, and Android to incrementally deliver functionality to the client.

YOU WANT TO WORK WITH

Designing, developing, debugging, and modifying components of software applications and tools, particularly in a cloud architecture
Projects that directly impact customers and support the strategic initiatives of brands or business units
Supporting the development of documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance
Developing in an environment where the definition of 'done' includes unit testing, code review, and integration testing

YOU ARE

Possessing the following expertise

At least Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
4+ years of commercial experience as a Software Developer
Proficiency in Java 8, or higher
Unit testing with JUnit, Mockito, and Maven
HTTP-based APIs, specifically REST, and preferably GraphQL as well
Both NoSQL and SQL databases
Kafka
Version control using Git
Jenkins for CI/CD processes (as an advantage)
Upper-Intermediate English level
