Modernizing Medicine is looking to hire a System Administrator to work in our fun, challenging and rewarding environment. As a System Administrator you'll manage our internal Apple fleet and the systems that manage it. Your ultimate goal will be to improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of our Apple infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Manage our Apple fleet and fleet management tools.
• Document, document, document! Script, script, script! Automate, automate, automate!
• Manage servers, networking equipment, IT appliances, IT tools, and a wide range of other technologies as they relate to our Apple fleet.
• Keep our Apple fleet compliant.
• Participate in the on-call rotation. This will include expanding your horizons beyond our Apple fleet.
• Work long/late hours and weekends occasionally with the ability to work remotely.

Skills and Requirements:

• BA/BS degree (in lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience)
• One year of experience actively supporting Apple/Linux devices in an enterprise setting.
• One year of experience actively managing https://github.com/munki/munki or https://github.com/google/simian
• One year of experience actively managing an MDM platform for Apple devices.
• One year of experience actively managing orchestration software in a macOS or Linux environment. Think Salt, Ansible, Chef, etc.
• Able to read/understand/write complex scripts (Bash/Python)
• Strong networking knowledge.
• Strong information security knowledge.
• Solid understanding of web concepts and technologies.
• Able to stay calmed under (system) fire.
• Able and happy to provide direct end-user support as needed.
• Strong customer service, organizational, prioritization and communication skills.
• Able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and make quick decisions with limited information.
• Strong problem solving skills, adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership.
• English skills: able to understand and express ideas
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.!
