Software Engineer (Node.js) en Axiom Zen

Axiom Zen is a technology incubator and startup foundry expanding to Santiago, Chile and looking for talented engineers and developers to join our growing local team.

Position Description

We use modern technologies, build market-leading products, and adhere to high standards in terms of engineering best practices (continuous deployment, continuous integration, automated testing, etc). The rest of our team is based in Vancouver, Canada, and San Francisco, California.

We build two main types of products: beautiful production apps built to support millions of users very rapidly, and hyper-fast MVP prototypes where speed is of the essence. Expertise and passion for either is a big plus.

Among others our recent works leverage node.js; Javascript frameworks; Go; and Swift. We also work with Objective-C, Java, Ruby, Python, and Lisp. E xperience in some languages not listed here (Haskell, Erlang..) is a plus, so let us know!

Our ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of web technology, software design patterns and best practices as well as a love for building user-centric products that set new standards in usability and performance. 

About You

• Great software engineer
• Experience shipping high quality code in a fast-paced mission-critical environment
• Demonstrated interest in working with new technologies and thinking outside the box 
• Strong understanding of CS fundamentals, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
• Able to discuss test cases and implement them
• Commitment to practical application of best practices in software development including TDD, continuous integration, Agile, and continuous delivery
• Feels at home with git and Github
• Amazing human and collaborative team member
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Knowledge/experience with SQL, redis, memcached, and other NoSQL systems
