Are you excited to conquer the challenge of using technology to connect travelers to the massively fractured industry of local tours and activities? If so, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for a talented lead developer who can not only execute current initiatives, but can also provide technical leadership, expertise, and oversight for the company. The ideal candidate will have both technical expertise, and a creative mindset that results in innovative, scalable solutions. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Use technology to innovate the way the travel industry connects

• Improving our booking and search engine

• Implement Key design and UX changes

• Propose ideas for growth and automation

• Represent the technological agenda in staff meetings and when making hiring decisions

• Maintain current knowledge of technology landscape and developments

• Consolidate our technology platforms and create plans for each - this includes connecting and improving operations and marketing platforms

• Track, analyze and monitor technology performance metrics

• Identify new areas of digital marketing opportunities and create plans to implement them for us and our clients

• Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity

• Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture

• Building our new site and web app

Required profile and skills:

• Computer science major

• Languages and Frameworks Front End: 

  • JavaScript - Jquery

  • Html5

  • CSS, Sass y Bootstrap

  • Frameworks de Javascript (Angular, React…)

• Languages and Frameworks Back End: 

  • PHP

  • Experience using Node

  • Knowledge of Wordpress and other CMS

• Experience using: GITHUB, SourceTree

• Experience and Knowledge of:

  • Servers, networks, and AWS.

  • How to interact with APIs

  • UI and UX

  • Load Balancing

• English or Spanish fluent. At least proficient in English. Both would be a plus.

• Experience building booking engines would be a plus

• Knowledge on Ruby on rails, Django, Python

• Savvy with HTML & CSS

• Design skills would be a plus

• Willing to travel internationally
