Social technology startup Data Campfire are entering an exciting new phase, with the introduction of two new roles. Given business growth targets, Data Campfire roles require proactive, entrepreneurial individuals with experience or a strong understanding of social and/or community based technology projects.

Data Campfire hosts Data Visualization events to help organizations get more value from their data, and event participants improve their data skills. Our aim is to help people become more data literate through a community of data practitioners. Data Campfire was founded in the United Kingdom in 2016, and after joining Start-Up Chile, is aiming to develop opportunities in the Chilean market.

The Marketing Officer will support creating and managing content to engage potential customers and the data community in Chile and Latin America. The Marketing Officer will be a self-motivated and creative individual who knows how to communicate to different stakeholders, while delivering clear and cohesive communications using various marketing channels.     

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Research into Chilean education and technology market.

  • Working closely with other team members to develop marketing materials.

  • Generating leads in governments, municipalities, NGOs, universities, museums and libraries in Chile.

  • Creation of targeted marketing & business development content in Spanish, or translation of existing content from English to Spanish.

  • Managing social media and advertising (PPC) campaigns with LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook. Analyzing the performance of campaigns and identifying strategic opportunities.

  • Attending business development and sales meetings with Directors to assist communication in Spanish.

  • Assisting with organizing Meetups that the company runs on a monthly basis.

  • Delivery of: emails, newsletter, social media content, blog articles, event descriptions, business proposals, meeting assistance, meetup assistance.

Candidate Profile

A native Spanish speaker with fluent English speaking skills and excellent writing skills. As a delivery focused professional with 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing and communications. The candidate will have experience delivering marketing & communications for governments, NGOs, cultural oragnizations, education and training, or events companies. Through their experience delivering marketing campaigns they will increase engagement and ultimately business revenue. As an employee in a startup, the candidate will be resourceful, knowing how to make a little bit go a long way. They will do this by drawing from established partnerships or new relationships.

This job is part time position, 2 days a week. We can negotiate which days of the week is the best for both of you and Data Campfire. This is ideal for freelancers. There is potential for future opportunities to continue working together after the contract ends. 

Office and Hours:  Telefonica Open Future, 229 Providencia, CHILE 9am to 5pm
