Job Roles:

  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Customer Service
  • Sales
  • Operations

Job Responsibilities:

  • Convert leads into paying customers
  • Customer service - mostly answering questions about tours that we sell
  • Run the operations side of our CRM process

Description of the position:

Some of our customers simply find what they’re looking for on the website and make the booking without contacting us first. But we also have a lot of people that contact us via email or our live chat - once someone contacts us, they are much more likely to book, as long as we do a good job of giving them what they need to feel comfortable booking the tour. This generally means answering questions about tours and helping them with other aspects of planning their trip. We currently do a good job of converting these leads into customers, but we are starting to get a larger volume and could use someone who can handle this role full time. Part of the role would also include running the operations side of our CRM process, which involves communicating with tour operators (mostly in Spanish) and managing a spreadsheet of leads and pending payments. We will train you on each of these responsibilities.

Why this position is important to us:

The majority of our revenue currently comes from converting travelers who contact us into paying customers, so doing this job well is crucial.

Requirements:

  • Either native English and good Spanish or native Spanish and very good English (almost all customers contact us in English and we speak to most tour operators in Spanish)

  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets

  • This job requires a person that is extremely organized and friendly

Bonus Experience:

  • Previous experience working in customer service in the travel industry (in a travel agency, tour operator, hotel, etc.)

  • Previous experience working with a CRM system - offline or online
